Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Collection 2 for Xbox 360 offers a mixed bag of content for fans of the franchise. With its three multiplayer/survival mode maps, two special ops missions, and the addition of two new Face Off maps, there is certainly a lot to explore. However, this collection fails to truly capture the essence of the classic Call of Duty experience.
The multiplayer maps take players to various locations such as the Mediterranean, Hamburg, a vacation resort, and even the Scottish Islands. While these settings may sound exciting on paper, they lack the depth and complexity that made past Call of Duty maps so memorable. The excitement of close combat is attempted with the new Face Off maps, but they fall short of delivering the adrenaline rush that fans of the franchise crave.
The inclusion of special ops missions adds some variety to the gameplay, but they fail to leave a lasting impression. These missions lack the creative level design and intense gameplay that players expect from the Call of Duty series. It feels as though the developers missed an opportunity to create truly memorable experiences.
In terms of nostalgia, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – Collection 2 does little to evoke the feelings of classic games. While it attempts to capture the essence of past installments, it falls short in delivering the same level of excitement and immersion. It’s clear that the developers’ focus was more on quantity rather than quality.
While there may be some enjoyment to be found in this collection, it ultimately feels lackluster and uninspired. The lack of depth in the maps and missions, as well as the failure to deliver a nostalgic experience, result in a disappointing addition to the Call of Duty series. Whether you’re a seasoned fan or new to the franchise, there are better options available that will provide a more fulfilling and satisfying gaming experience.
