MXGP3: The Official Motocross Videogame for PlayStation 4 offers players the chance to delve into the exhilarating world of motocross racing. With 18 official tracks and the inclusion of riders and bikes from the 2016 MXGP and MX2 seasons, this game aims to provide an authentic motocross experience.
One of MXGP3’s standout features is the inclusion of 10 2-stroke bikes, allowing players to relive the nostalgia of classic motocross racing. This addition adds a nostalgic touch to the game, reminiscent of the classic motocross games of the past that many retro gaming enthusiasts hold dear.
The game also offers an extensive customization option, allowing players to personalize both their rider and bike. With over 300 official components available, players have the opportunity to create a unique and personalized motocross experience.
While the game does offer some enticing features, MXGP3 falls short in certain aspects. The overall rating of 3.5/10 reflects the disappointment that arises from the game’s shortcomings. The lackluster graphics and limited gameplay mechanics fail to capture the excitement and realism that many retro gaming enthusiasts crave.
Furthermore, the controls in MXGP3 leave much to be desired. The handling of the bikes feels clunky and unresponsive, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the game. This lack of precision and fluidity in the controls hampers the player’s ability to fully immerse themselves in the motocross experience.
Overall, MXGP3: The Official Motocross Videogame for PlayStation 4 attempts to capture the essence of motocross racing but falls short in execution. While the inclusion of nostalgic elements and the extensive customization options are commendable, the lack of graphical prowess and unsatisfactory controls prevent the game from reaching its full potential. For retro gaming enthusiasts seeking a truly authentic motocross experience, MXGP3 may not live up to the expectations set by classic games of the past.
