Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – Ultimate Sith Edition for PC is a nostalgic journey that attempts to bridge the gap between the classic Star Wars movie trilogies, but unfortunately falls short of its potential. While it combines the original game with three new levels, including Coruscant and Tatooine, the overall execution leaves much to be desired.
The additional levels, previously only available via direct download, do add some value to the game. They offer a fresh perspective and expand upon the already established storyline. However, the exclusive level included in the Ultimate Sith Edition package, which concludes the Infinities storyline, fails to leave a lasting impression.
One of the standout features of the game is the ability to visit iconic locations seen in Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. This nostalgic feel is a nice touch, and fans of the franchise will appreciate revisiting these familiar settings.
Unfortunately, the gameplay itself is where Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – Ultimate Sith Edition falls short. The controls can be clunky and unresponsive at times, making it frustrating to navigate through levels and execute precision moves. The combat mechanics lack depth and variety, leaving players wanting more in terms of gameplay innovation.
Graphically, the game shows its age. While it may not have the same level of polish as more recent titles, it does provide a charming retro aesthetic that is reminiscent of classic games from the past. This throwback style may appeal to some players who appreciate the nostalgia of older gaming experiences.
Overall, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed – Ultimate Sith Edition for PC is a mixed bag. While it offers some additional content that expands upon the original game’s story, the gameplay and controls leave much to be desired. The nostalgic feel and graphics may appeal to retro gaming enthusiasts, but for those seeking a more immersive and innovative experience, this title may fall short of expectations.
