Get Even for PC is a game that brings back the nostalgic feel of classic retro gaming, but unfortunately falls short in delivering an exceptional experience. Developed by The Farm 51 and published by Bandai Namco Games, the game follows the story of Cole Black, who wakes up in an abandoned asylum with his only memory being a failing attempt to rescue a girl with a bomb attached to her. Equipped with a unique technology fused to his head, Black delves into his own mind to uncover the truth about his past, all while encountering the mysterious Red along the way.
The game is presented in a first-person perspective, maintaining the conventions of a classic thriller. It raises thought-provoking questions about justice and reality, adding an intriguing layer to the gameplay. As players explore interactive environments, they piece together the story bit by bit, creating a sense of anticipation and discovery.
One of the standout features of Get Even is its atmospheric and immersive setting. The old, abandoned asylum serves as a haunting backdrop, evoking a sense of unease and mystery reminiscent of classic horror games. The attention to detail in the environments adds to the nostalgic charm, making players feel like they have stepped into a retro gaming world.
However, despite these positive aspects, Get Even does not quite hit the mark in terms of overall execution. The game falls short in terms of gameplay mechanics and technical performance. The controls can feel clunky and the AI can be frustratingly unintelligent, leading to a lack of engaging and satisfying gameplay. Additionally, the graphics and visual effects, while attempting to create a moody and atmospheric environment, can be lackluster and fail to fully immerse players in the experience.
In terms of audio design, Get Even shines in capturing the eerie feeling of the game. The soundtrack effectively builds tension and adds to the overall suspense of the story. Combined with the immersive setting, the audio elements contribute to the nostalgic ambiance of the game.
Overall, Get Even for PC has its moments of nostalgic charm and intriguing storytelling, but it falls short in delivering a polished and engaging gameplay experience. While the atmospheric setting and thought-provoking themes may captivate retro gaming enthusiasts, the clunky controls and technical issues hinder the overall enjoyment. With a rating of 3.5/10, it is recommended to approach this game with lowered expectations.

However, it’s crucial to address the legal nuances surrounding emulators and ROMs. While emulators may be legal, but the situation changes when it comes to downloading and sharing ROMs. Even though people often search for terms like “Download Get Even ROM torrent”, “Get Even PC ISO” or similar terms, these actions often conflict with copyright laws, as publishers retain rights over their games, even those no longer in circulation.
Of course, you can go the illegal route. However, doing so would be disrespectful to the tireless efforts of the developers. In addition to running the risk of downloading a file that may contain malware.
At RomsMania, we do not encourage or promote the downloading of ROMs or ISO files, not even for discontinued titles. Therefore, we do not host or link to any copyrighted content.
