With 12 classic titles, including the original Street Fighter, Street Fighter II, and Street Fighter III, players can relive the games that made gaming history. This collection offers an authentic and nostalgic experience, with arcade-perfect balancing that stays true to the originals.
One of the standout features of this collection is the online play option. Players can battle it out in four classic titles, including Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting and Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Whether you prefer ranked matches or casual bouts, the online experience provides an opportunity to showcase your fighting skills against other players. The addition of a rewind feature ensures low-latency battles for a smooth online experience.
In addition to the gameplay options, Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection also boasts a rich Museum Mode. Here, fans can dive into the past 30 years of Street Fighter history, exploring character bios, concept art, and an interactive timeline. This mode provides a captivating journey through the series, allowing players to learn more about their favorite characters and discover lesser-known facts about each game release.
Furthermore, the collection includes a Music Player that allows players to appreciate the memorable tunes from the Street Fighter series. Sit back and enjoy the iconic tracks that have become synonymous with the franchise.
However, despite these impressive features, Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection for Switch does have some drawbacks. The game unfortunately suffers from some technical issues, including occasional lag and connectivity problems. These issues can hinder the overall experience, especially during online play.
In terms of presentation, the graphics and visuals remain faithful to the retro style of the original games. While this may evoke a sense of nostalgia for seasoned gamers, newcomers may find the dated visuals less appealing. Additionally, the lack of additional content or bonus features may disappoint some players looking for a more comprehensive package.
Overall, Street Fighter: 30th Anniversary Collection for Switch provides a solid selection of classic arcade titles that will undoubtedly please dedicated fans of the series. With its online play options, rich Museum Mode, and memorable music, this collection offers a trip down memory lane for retro gaming enthusiasts. However, technical issues and a lack of additional content prevent it from achieving its full potential.
